‘Painting invites me to split thoughts off…

and one by one, I throw them away to mark the way’.

In Dribs and Cats

The taste of collecting printed images, the pleasure to cut them, create a collage, or simply treasure them in a cardboard box are hobbies that nowadays have mutated into images consumption in an unending series of pixels on social networks.

In Dribs and Cats is a series that was born by the intention to honor that old practice and reengage in the graphic representation techniques, which molded me as a designer, before this project discipline was confined to a digital environment; therefore, the nostalgia of evocating the materials’’ plastic complicity.

Being in front of a canvas and feeling that magical sensation of paint through the fingers is an exercise of a heady freedom sensation that makes us split thoughts off, one by one, while going, one step at a time, to the horizon of utopia, with the sole purpose of keeping walking.

‘Painting invites me to split thoughts off… and one by one, I throw them away to mark the way’.
